After one year of absence, we are back again displaying Google AdSense over PHP Magazine Network. This is what I call a good news ! During more than one year we was using mainly direct advertising and created an excellent database of partners and advertisers. It looks crazy but that's what we call experiments, since the purpose of 99% of our network activity is experimental and the main revenue goals have been realized anyway without AdSense for the last year.
We will continue to use direct advertising but now we added three AdSense spots under the first post in the home page (300x250), in the sidebar (120x600) and in the bottom page (468x60). That's everything and there is no search and no text links at the moment. We are preparing a custom solution to replace the current search tools, but it will remain 100% internal without usage of any other external service. The second update that we have is that we have dropped Chitika Ads from all over the network, we will post more details on our advertising strategy for the 3rd year of phpmagazine.net !
