Content management and many other online software that use images need really something like this to manage images. This tool allow to crop image using DHTML, the cropping informations are collected in a form so it can be processed server side for example with PHP
Its not about AJAX but its the kinda of very useful functionnalities we can get with Javascript to make online content administration more fun.
