TIBCO have updated its Business Process Management (BPM) software user interface to include AJAX. We already talked before about TIBCO® General Interface, which TIBCO have acquired since 2004, so I was expecting to see more integration of AJAX in their applications.

In a recent Press release, INTALIO announced the embedding of the Orbeon PresentationServer (OPS) into Intalio|BPMS™. The partnership makes Intalio|BPMS ™ the first BPM suite to provide a Web 2.0 user interface for supporting human workflow.

I noticed that BPM vendors not only acknowledges the existence of Web 2.0 but working to implement rich web experience in their software by making new partnership or making aquisition of already existing companies. The questions is that Business Process Management Software are more likely to be a set of web-services rather than web based applications, so could this the tendency of AJAX and rich web applications or a business strategy to keep their customers more attached to the web based solution ?
