Certainly AJAX applications are becoming more and more popular these days, but I was wondering how does owners of such websites and applications are monetizing their projects ? Using advertising, others sell commercial versions … And if we take the case of advertising, before to deal with an advertiser you have know the visitors, visits, page views and hits in addition to other information that some website collects.
Talking about AJAX, many things changed such the definition of a page. Now everything is in the same page and the server is sending content depending on the action requested, so how many page have been viewed ? And if a page is dynamicly refreshing its content how to know the real page views ?
