Enough rumors and exclusive screenshots, now you can get your own Google calendar account and start using the service. Google, as usual making the buzz with their web 2.0 new products, have finally released a beta of their Google Calendar, a real new competitor for AJAX calendars such 30 boxes, Zimbra ... etc.

Google calendar came with the very basic features for an online calendar, to create events, edit, sharing, notification, import/export, multiple views, all grouped in a web 2.0 interface similar to Gmail with drag and drop feature. There is also an equal sign (=) in the bottom of events box which could be used to expand the time span. Overall the product looks very promising even that many have noticed the service is very slow at its launch, and this is very common with new releases of Google products. Anyway, when I give it a test it was working very well, but it's very expected to stop accepting new users very soon so get your account before getting a "come back later" message.
