If you are fan of Civilization games, Vox Imperium is a new web-based strategy game very addictive, it brings together hundreds of players in a game focusing on growth, diplomacy, and conquest. Games range from small one-on-one matches that last 3 hours to epic 1000-man brawls that draw out over months.

The game is free to play, but there are extra privileges you can get by buying "credits", which is really just a dressed up way of saying "Donate here". These privileges mainly consist of how many games you can join at any given time and how wide your access is to the MapMaker. Interesting to see how AJAX will eat up more types of game.
