I tried yesterday the latest MovableType4, a great interface, lots of new features and lots of issues too; just be sure to not use it on production sites. Beside the brand-new interface, MT4 have some very useful features such AutoSave for posts, templates..., Gmail-like navigation with keyboard shortcuts, dynamic and interactive list of blogs. Not lots of AJAX, but used at the right places ! MT4 uses its own AJAX library, and since it's going open source I think it would be better if they opt for one of the powerful existing AJAX libraries, as Wordpress did with jQuery. This will give developers more ease to integrate new functionalities in MT4 interface.

In total 50 new features and more have been added to the new MT4, I didn't find all of them but found 63 listed issues and counting. Documentation is very poor compared to the previous MT versions, and since it's going open source, this summer is going to be hotter for the MT community ! We have almost finished moving templates to the new MT4, getting ready to migrate in the next days. The GPL version of Movable Type 4.0 is planned for Q3 2007.
