AdMob, the mobile advertising marketplace, will celebrate tomorrow its first year of launching their service and close to One Billionth Ad served. I have announced in previous post my mobile advertising experiments and I think this news comes to confirm my thoughts about mobile advertising in 2007 which will be BIG.
Notice that Google is experimenting mobile ads too last year, but it wasn't very frequent. This will create a great competition especially that AdMob is currently attracting almost all important mobile publishers. All important mobile websites I know are using AdMob to monetize their service, or selling their own services. Next year should be a challenge for Admob to keep its leadership position and improve their service, and possibly offer new products. There is only one thing that I'm not sure about it is how admob are managing fraud clicks over their network ?
